 Biomass burner:
1. What is the usage of the biomass burner, only for boiler?
It is widely used to connect with Fuel gas/oil/coal boiler industry (steam boiler, thermal oil furnace, hot water boiler), smelting industry (aluminum melting furnace, reverberatory furnace), drying industry (food drying, sawdust/wood chips/biomass drying), spray coating industry (metal spraying, electroplating heating), greenhouse, building industry (asphalt heating). 
 
2. What is working principle of the biomass burner?
The combustion furnace adopts 3-layer thermal insulation, the inner furnace adopts high aluminum refractory ,anti-souring and high temperature resistance. Outside of the furnace, it uses water cooling system
Multiple air increasing, high temperature pyrolysis, semi-gasification suspension combustion, heat convection and radiation together, combustion last for more than 2 seconds, high-speed combustion and no dead corner.
 
3. What is the advantage of your water cooling system compared to air cooling for biomass burner?
If biomass burner connect with boiler, it is ok to use the cold water from water and the hot water back to boiler, in this way, it can save energy compared to fan cooling.
The water pump is smaller than air fan and it can save electricity consumption.
The cooling time will be more fast than you use the fan.
 
4. What about the ignition device, can I ignite biomass burner without this device?
It is diesel automatic ignitor for 5-8minutes, Brand BALTUR from Italy
It is ok to ignite burner without this device, and we can use burning material instead of ignitor.
 
5. This biomass burner can work continuous or not?
Yes, 24hour/days is no problem.
When we discharge ash, it is no need to turn off the burner, owing to the system is micro negative pressure operation, ensure no gas or fire leakage.
 
6. What is requirement for the raw material?
Moisture should be less than 15% 
Size: 6-8mm for pellet burner, 10*20mm for wood chips burner, 1-3mm for sawdust burner, 60-80mm for wood powder burner
It will be better to use good raw material and remove impurity as much as we can.
 
7. What about the emission of biomass burner, does it pollute environment like coal boiler?
Ash<1~1.5%, flue gas emission<50mg/m3
Biomass burner use wood pellet, sawdust, wood powder or other agriculture waste, which are recyclable and environmental-friendly, not like the coal producing large amounts of waste and dust.
 
8. If we need your engineer to guide installation and operation for biomass burner, how long will be finished? What about the temperature of the frame?
Normally, 2-3 working days will be ok if all equipment are ready.
The frame is about 900-1100degree.
 
9.How many people operate this biomass burner and what about the lifetime of your equipment?
The operation is simple and a single person on duty can finish the work.
The buyer should operate the biomass burner according to the operation manual the seller supplied and 8-10year is no problem. 
 
10. Can you make a brief introduction to compare your three type biomass burner?
Biomass pellet burner has the best price, owing to it has a hopper together with body. The pellet is easy for delivery and store.
Biomass sawdust burner has an extra fuel bin, so the price is higher than pellet burner, but the sawdust has the lowest cost compared to pellet and wood powder. The efficiency is 90-95%.
Biomass wood powder burner also need an extra fuel bin, but it has the best performance 95-98%.

11. Compared to biomass boiler, what is the advantage of your biomass burner?
- Biomass directly burning in the boiler furnace will produce tar and dust,, it will be reduce the conversion efficiency of boiler , and containing the acid material will be corrosive to the furnace wall and the inner wall of the smoke pipe, reduce the boiler service life
- Referring the biomass burner , biomass burning in the biomass burner , Converted into flame into the boiler furnace,Avoid the above situation
- Comparison of thermal efficiency , the thermal efficiency of biomass boiler can reach arround 70%, but the thermal efficiency of our biomass burner can reach 98% , and We provide the boiler is the fuel gas boiler transformation, the thermal efficiency of the boiler can reach 92% . This situation can help client save 20%-30% thermal energy 

12. Pellet Stove Vs. Pellet Boiler
- Pellet stoves and pellet boilers both operate on wood pellets, also known as a biomass. They offer an alternative to other heating methods like electric and propane. According to the Massachusetts Division of Energy Resources, biomass fuels help diminish acid rain and global atmosphere changes.
- Pellet stoves are recommended for homes. In appearance, they resemble wood-burning stoves; however, they operate differently. A pellet stove has an apparatus that feeds the pellets from a hopper to the heating chamber. Room air is sucked into the stove through a fan, warmed and then circulated back into the living area or into a vent structure.
- Pellet boilers are recommended for institutional locations or commercial settings ranging in size from 10,000 to 50,000 square feet. Wood pellets travel from a fuel hopper to a combustion chamber to be burned. Exhaust escapes through a chimney.
- Pellets for stoves are purchased by the pound. Generally 30 to 130 pounds of pellets are stored in the stove’s hopper. Pellets for boilers are purchased by tons and stored in a silo. According to the Massachusetts Division of Energy Resources, a boiler uses about 10 to 15 tons of pellets annually.

13. Characteristics of Wood Pellet Fuel
Wood pellet fuel belongs to the category of biomass fuels. It is produced automatically by compressing wet sawdust and green wood chips and forming them into pellets of the same form and size of about 1-1Ѕ inches by 1/4-5/16 inches in diameter. As distinct from other biomass fuels, wood pellets are easier to use and need less storage space. They are also less dangerous to deliver than fossil fuels and more advantageous because of the high energy content by weight of almost 7,750 Btu per pound. Their moisture content equals from four to six percent. These properties and plant lignin helps to retain their compact structure and makes wood pellets a first choice fuel. 
There are no pellet classifications based on wood type. Traditionally wood pellets are classified according to the amount of the ash produced. 
Premium
ash content of wood pellets less than one percent
Standard
ash content between one and two percent
Industrial
ash content three percent or more
Two first grades may be sold for commercial, industrial or residential use. They are good for boilers of any type and size equipped with automatic ash removal system. Pellets belonging to the third grade with ash content of three percent or greater should be bought for industrial application only.

 
Gasifier:
1. What is the meaning of biomass gasification, is it a new technology?
Biomass gasification means incomplete combustion of biomass resulting in production of combustible gases, including Carbon monoxide (CO), Hydrogen (H2), Methane (CH4), CmHn, this mixture is called pyrolysis gas that can be used to run internal combustion engines, and generate CHP. 
Gasification is a century old technology, which flourished quite well before and during the second world war. Today, because of increased fuel prices and environmental concern, there is renewed interest in this century old technlogy. Gasification has become more modern and quite sophisticated technology.
 
2. Which material is suitable for biomass gasifier, can we also use city waste as fuel?
Yes, it is ok to use city waste as fuel, and the raw material includes PP (Woven bag, microwave tableware, POTS, ),PE (Bottle, bucket, kettle, plastic food bag) , PC(Plastic cups, cutlery, sports equipment), PS(Disposable plastic tableware, comb, box, ball-point pen rod, children's toys, plastic shopping bags),PET (Medicine bottle, cosmetics bottle, cap and plastic bottles), HPDE(All kinds of recycled plastic), Rice husk, woodchips, sawdust, bark, shavings, crop stalks, coconut hull, olive pomace, bagasse, plastic waste, palm shell, cotton straw.......
 
3. What is the requirement of fuel for gasifier, can we gasifier coal or sewage sludge?
Moisture≦15%, size≦10cm
But coal or sewage sludge can be gasification.
We can use coal powder 150-20mesh as fuel for wood powder burner, and sewage sludge is also possible as fuel for our burner.
 
4. What is the content of the syngas from gasifier, and the heat value?
1300-1500Kcal per cubic meter, and the content of the syngas depends on the raw material.
Normally, the components of bio syngas from wood chips:
CO 20-25%; H2 10-13%; CH4 2-4%; CmHn 0.8%
H2S 16.4mg/Nm3; CO2 13%; O2 1%; N2 46%  
 
Industry & city waste gas components:
CH4 9.77%; C2H6 1.75%; C2H4 4.68%; C3H8 0.33%; C3H6 2.33%; C4H10 0.07%
C4H8 0.76%; C5H12 0.02%; C5H10 0.26%; H2 12.95%; CO2 36.39%; CO 30.69% 
 
5. What we can get from gasifier, only syngas?
If the raw material is 1ton wood chips, we can get about 2500m3 syngas, 100kg carbon, 150-200kg wood tar. 
 
6. Can we get more detail, 1ton/h wood chips gasifier, what is the output of gas, wood tar, what utilities are required, operational cost, electricity?
The output of gas is about 2500M3/h
The wood tar is about 150-200KG/h 
The ash is about 100kg carton.
Two workers will be needed for the operation.
The electricity is 40.5KW each hour
Water and tar(heavy oil) are together, so we can make about 5m*6m*3m pool to handle sewage, and get heavy oil from it.
The chemical material will be needed to make water meet the requirement of environment requirement.
 
7. Can we use only plastic waste as fuel for gasification?
If it is difficult to find more biomass material, it is ok to use plastic waste as fuel for gasification, but the gasifier will need extra biomass material at the beginning, then put plastic waste inside gasifier furnace for gasification.
To discharge ash automatically, we need to put extra biomass material before gasifier stop working.

8. What is the difference between updraft gasifier and downdraft gasifier?
Updraft gasifier:                                                                                  
By-product: a lot of tar comes out as a by-product, which deteriorates the working environment.               
Quality of fuel gas: contains ash particles, which can choke the pipe like in the long-run
Ignition time: Longer        
Downdraft gasifier:
By-product: Moderate quantity of charcoal comes out as a by-product, which can be sold off.
Quality of fuel gas: cleaner
Ignition time: Shorter


 
Gasification power plant:
1. Can we use the syngas for electricity? 
The combustible gases from the gasifier can be used a) in internal combustion engines, b) for direct heat applications and c) as feedstock for production of chemicals like methanol. 
In order for the gas to be used for genset, it should be cleaned of tar and dust and be cooled. 
 
2. How many of your power plants are in operation and where are they located on oversea market?
100KW wood chips gasification power plant in Congo, April 2014

500KW city waste gasification power plant in Thailand, March 2015
 
3. How many space needed for a 500KW power plant, and how many KWH can get each year?
60m*3m, not included sewage pool and water circulation pool.
The sewage pool need to check the moisture of raw material, the water circulation pool need to check your local climate.
Normally, we need to do maintenance each month and a full inspection once every three months. The power plant can work 300days, so we can get 3,600,000KWH each year. 
 
4. How much water is required for the cooling pond to 500KW gasifier and gas cleaning system.
To the gasifier, need 4-5t circulation water for cooling 
To the purification system , need 7-10t circulation water for cooling 
To the generator, need 1-2t circulation water for cooling 
To the 500kw, the water consumption around 300kg/day 
 
5. Can we use the waste heat from gasification system for house heating or hot water boiler? If yes, how many of the waste heat can be from 500KW power plant?
The heat waste is about 2000000Kcal/h from 500KW power plant, and we can use it for house heating or circulation with hot water boiler.
 
6. What about the emission from the power plant, do you have a test data?
Yes, we installed a 500KW MSW power plant in Thailand and we have experience data:

7. What happens when the plant runs at a smaller capacity, or at a larger capacity? 
When gas supply is insufficient, Gen sets will stop working, when gas supply is sufficient, because self-priming function of Gen sets, we can make a corresponding adjustment,to achieve continuous and stable operation . 
 
8. For example: maximum biomass consumption per hour is 0.3 – 0.5 tons, how many Kwh will this produce and how much heat?
1kg wood chips can produce 2-3m3 syngas , 2.5m3 syngas can generate 1kw electricity. 
It means 0.3-0.5ton wood chips can produce around 300-500kw electricity, the whole system can get around 1000000kcal heat, can be used for room heating
